Perspectives

Outstanding prospects

Electrical engineers, computer scientists and mechanical engineers from Darmstadt enjoy a high reputation in the industry. Our aim is to be at the forefront in our newly developed study programs and to prepare our students for the high demands of the market. It is not only current rankings that show that we succeed time and again.

Although graduates from this coursehave only been leaving our universityfor a few years, it is already clear that we have succeeded in taking the special interdisciplinary nature of this field into account. In this study program, "interdisciplinary" does not simply refer to the combination of contents. Rather, interdisciplinarity characterizes the basic attitude of the three departments involved.

Many technical developments are based on consistent work on the details, which leads to outstanding results. The prerequisite for this is mastery of the fundamentals of engineering science as well as the latest simulation techniques with regard to automation, networking, diagnostic functionalities, etc. Our aim is to be at the forefront and prepare our students for the high demands of the market, especially through digitalization and Industry 4.0 and increasing automation.
