The study program. What is it about?

Mechanical engineering is a basic course of study for many technical applications.

Automobiles, airplanes, machine tools, wind turbine generators, medical systems or painting robots in the automotive industry - all developed by mechanical engineers.

  • In six semesters, the Bachelor's degree course in General Mechanical Engineering provides students with a broad basic knowledge of engineering that enables them to work in all areas of mechanical engineering. Students learn to design components using modern simulation programs, to design them functionally and to combine them into assemblies.
  • However, they also learn to develop processes throughout the entire production process and to take into account the economic costs of their work.
  • Language skills and team qualifications are also taught.

Of course, the h_da also offers suitable preliminary courses to prepare students specifically for their studies.

Modules. How is the course structured?

The Bachelor's modules provide qualifications and skills for this practical field with courses, internships, project work or practical phases. The Bachelor's degree qualifies students for a career, but also enables them to transfer to Master's degree courses.

The General Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng.) course is accredited by the ASIIN agency. It bears the seal of approval of the Accreditation Council.
