GFTN

The GFTN, Gesellschaft zur Förderung technischen Nachwuchses e.V., is a non-profit association that has specialized in education, training and technology transfer since 1958. Since 2020, the GFTN has had the status of an affiliated institute at the renowned Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and its members are mainly professors and employees of the university. The GFTN is known for its seminars on professional development, such as plastic injection molding or film extrusion, as well as its inspiring seminar for prospective master craftsmen / women in event technology. However, research projects and services are also carried out via the GFTN, with working groups such as the working group for materials testing (AWP) with an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratory, the working group for plastics technology and plastics processing (AKV) and the working group for IT applications in plastics technology (AEK) being active.
