Institute for Mechanical and Mechatronic Systems

im²s - a young institute with ambitious goals

Welcome to the Institute of Mechanics and Mechatronics (im²s), where we bundle the energies of mechanics and mechatronics and offer practical solutions in a broad field. Our aim is to link teaching and research with the needs of companies and to advance the development of mechatronics through networked work.

Our research focuses are as diverse as our team itself! We have a wide range of expertise, from classic simulation with numerical programs to modern approaches from the field of machine learning. And best of all, we can combine them in a meaningful way!

Modal analysis (numerical and experimental)? No problem for us! Thanks to our interdisciplinary approach, we have experience on both sides of modal analysis. We offer our partners comprehensive advice from the calculation to the measurement to the adaptation of the model.

The automation of simulation processes is an important part of variant development and component optimization. We support our customers in finding efficient and specific solutions, even when using existing simulation programs. Obstacles? We overcome them with ease!

Our teaching and research activities with several members of the institute have made us true experts in the development and implementation of mechatronic systems. We offer innovative and customized solutions that are precisely tailored to your individual requirements. What do you need? We have it! From idea to implementation, we help companies achieve their goals and optimize their processes.

So, what are you waiting for? Let's conquer the world of mechatronic systems together and shape the future! We are proud to be a part of this dynamic and cool field and can't wait to inspire you too.
