Institute for Design and Product Development

The Institute for Design and Product Development, or "IKuP" for short, promotes the integration of research and development with studies and teaching in the Department of Mechanical and Plastics Engineering at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. Based on the expertise of its individual members, the IKuP sets special priorities in the areas of design and product development and supports and coordinates current research and development projects. The institute also advises companies, associations, authorities and other higher education institutions for the purpose of knowledge and technology transfer in the designated specialist areas. In addition, the IKuP develops further training courses in the areas of its core competencies to deepen scientific knowledge and supplement practical professional experience and offers these to interested partners.
