The degree program. How is the Master's program structured?
The four-semester course in Mechanical Engineering (M. Sc.) provides the technical knowledge required to work in many areas of modern mechanical engineering.
On the one hand, students deepen their fundamental knowledge in the main areas of mechanical engineering. These include design theory, technical thermodynamics, production engineering and advanced mechanics.
On the other hand, elective subjects allow students to deepen their studies in certain areas according to their individual wishes and inclinations. This includes lectures on
- Aerodynamics,
- energy conversion,
- materials technology and
- drive technology
are offered.
Integrated engineering research projects offer the opportunity to work scientifically on a specific task and apply the knowledge acquired.
The course is rounded off by teaching leadership skills and team qualifications as well as social issues, some of which are taught in English.
Modules. How is the course structured?
The course is structured in modules that combine similar topics.
The theoretical lecture content is deepened in laboratory and project work and its application is practiced in practical professional contexts.
