The degree program. How is the Master's program structured?

In four semesters, the Automotive Development (M.Sc.) course imparts a broad knowledge of automotive engineering for activities in all areas of modern vehicle development.

Students acquire in-depth knowledge in the main areas of vehicle development.

This includes engine development and drive technology as well as chassis development including the mechatronic components of chassis control, body development with a special focus on vehicle safety and hybrid design. The in-depth engineering fundamentals, which are supplemented by the use of modern simulation tools, also play an important role.

Further focal points are

  • Vehicle electrics and vehicle electronics,
  • vehicle acoustics,
  • aerodynamics,
  • reliability and durability and
  • production engineering.

The course is rounded off by teaching leadership skills and team qualifications as well as social topics, some of which are taught in English.

Modules. How is the course structured?

The Master's modules provide qualifications and skills for the above-mentioned practical fields with courses, integrated research and project work or laboratory phases.

The Master's program is carried out with the great support of competent lecturers from the automotive and supplier industry. This ensures a link to current topics and issues. Students also acquire in-depth skills in the latest methods of vehicle development.
