On 01.03.2017, IKD welcomes Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Wieser as a new professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Plastics Technology.

After 10 years in various positions in product development, including at Hilti AG, Prof. Wieser moved to the Fraunhofer LBF (formerly the German Plastics Institute). His last position there was as Head of the Plastics Department before he accepted a position at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.

Prof. Wieser has been a lecturer at TU Darmstadt since 2008 and has particular expertise in the areas of product development and injection molding. In addition to his teaching activities, Prof. Wieser is also involved as Managing Director of the Research Association for Plastics FGK in order to support overarching projects with industrial partners and research institutions involving the entire value chain.

His teaching focuses on the areas of product development and injection molding.
