On 01.10.2017, IKD welcomes Dr.-Ing. Jörg Kiesbauer as a new professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Plastics Technology.

After 25 years of management and industry experience, most recently as a member of the Research & Development Board in a large medium-sized company, he is following the call of Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.

Prof. Kiesbauer has been a lecturer at TU Darmstadt since 2009 and has particular expertise in the fields of actuator technology, mechatronics and process automation as well as fluid mechanics and acoustics and thermodynamics. In addition to his teaching activities, Prof. Kiesbauer is also involved in the steering committee of the VDI Automation Conference, the advisory board of the journal "Automatisierungstechnische Praxis", NAMUR and the Industry 4.0 platform.

His teaching focuses on mechatronic systems in mechanical engineering, automation technology and fluid mechanics.
