IKD as a participant in RESOPT3D at Formnext

As participants in the RESOPT3D network, members of IKD were also represented at Formnext 2018 during a joint visit to the stand of Perlon - The Filament Company, represented by Pedex GmbH from Wald-Michelbach.

The RESOPT3D network:
Generative manufacturing processes are fundamentally resource-efficient, as essentially only the material that is needed to build a component is used. Nevertheless, there is considerable potential for optimization: various material classes, such as rubber materials (vulcanized rubber), are not accessible. In addition, new materials containing natural fibers or recycled components not only offer the potential to conserve fossil raw materials, but can also be used to tailor new materials for different applications. In order to benefit from this potential, the following partners have joined forces (in alphabetical order): 3-D.services, 3DDE, CompriseTec, Conspir3D, Deutsches Institut für Kautschuktechnologie, Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, ing-pum, JSC Technology, Ludwig Nanopräzision, MMb Freden Maschinen- und Metallbaugesellschaft, Neue Materialien Bayreuth, Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Perlon / Pedex, TinkerToys, Westfälische Hochschule and Wilhelm Severt Maschinenbau.
The "Network for resource-optimized 3D printing (RESOPT3D)" is managed by innos-Sperlich GmbH.

Further information can be found on the network homepage.
