Great interest in the FBMK at Hobit 2024

At this year's "Hobit Contact" on 14.05.2024, the courses offered by the department
Mechanical Engineering and Plastics Technology met with great interest. Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences welcomed around
600 trade fair visitors to the Darmstadt campus, many of whom found their way to our stand at
with numerous interesting exhibits from the fields of mechanical engineering, mechatronics and plastics
. A particular eye-catcher was the racing car of the Formula Student team "FaSTDa" from
Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.
Visitors to the stand were able to talk directly to students, staff and professors
about the mechanical engineering, mechatronics, plastics technology and automotive development
degree courses. Study conditions, basic internships, differences to studying at a university,
career prospects and opportunities to study abroad were also discussed.
In various laboratory tours, prospective students were able to gain in-depth insights into the practical
study and research topics of automotive engineering, plastics technology and research into
