Building materials laboratory at the fbbu faculty

Tasks

The building materials laboratory is used for the practical teaching of material behavior, building material testing and repair. The extensive experimental equipment is available to students for laboratory practicals, exercises and as part of their final theses. All student work is closely monitored and supervised by us.

In addition to teaching, the laboratory is also used for research and development projects. We are able to carry out a variety of classic building material tests and also have equipment that allows new approaches.

Our research focuses on: lightweight and innovative concretes, shrinkage behavior in early concrete age, holistically sustainable building materials

The system can also be used to perform special tests. Thanks to the flexible, modular design, specimens with dimensions of up to L = 2.50 m; W = 0.80 m; H = 1.20 m can be tested.
