Short guide for a semester abroad:
Step 1 (approx. 12-18 months before your stay abroad):
- Information phase (funding, partner universities (MoveOn portal of h_da), course selection, residence permit/visa, language requirements, other requirements)
Step 2 (approx. 12 months before the stay abroad):
- Decision phase (select host university, observe application deadlines, submit application via h_da's MoveOn portal)
Step 3 (approx. 6-9 months before the stay abroad):
- Nomination phase (nomination by the international coordinator, signing of the application, submission of the nomination)
Step 4 (approx. 6-9 months before your stay abroad):
- Learning Agreement phase (Which courses do you want to take? Coordination of the Learning Agreement with the international coordinator)
Step 5 (approx. 6 months before your stay abroad):
- Application phase (after nomination at the host university by the International Office, your application is submitted to the partner university (note application deadlines)
Step 6 (approx. 2 months before your stay abroad):
- Preparation phase (pre-departure meeting)
Step 7 (during your stay abroad):
- Stay at the partner university (submission of various documents to the International Office, in case of changes to the course plan, coordination with the international coordinator)
Step 8 (after the stay abroad):
- Recognition phase (submission of various documents, recognition of examination results)
