FAQ
- If you have recognition from TU Darmstadt, please contact the Examinations Office. Please bring the following documents with you: overview of achievements from TU Darmstadt, module description of the modules from TU Darmstadt and the application for recognition for each individual module that you would like to have recognized.
- If you have recognition from other colleges or universities, please contact the lecturer individually with the following documents, overview of the college or university, module description of the modules from the college or university and the application for recognition for each individual module that you would like to have recognized.

- You will be informed of the exact dates by e-mail and on the homepage.
You can find out how you can apply for compensation for disadvantages under the descriptions of the process.
- If you are submitting a certificate for an exam (e.g. Math 1) for the first time, you will need a certificate from your "family doctor" and the "Application to withdraw from an exam due to illness".
- If you have already submitted a certificate for an exam (e.g. Maths 1) in the previous semester, you will need a certificate from your GP and the "Application to withdraw from an exam due to illness". A medical certificate from the Darmstadt health authority is required.
- The application must be submitted together with the medical certificate immediately (max. 3 working days) after the notification of illness.
- In the case of a medical certificate from a public health officer, the deadline is extended, as you usually do not receive an appointment within 3 working days.
You have failed a compulsory subject with three attempts. The third attempt is indicated with "EN" (final fail). This is normal and does not mean that you are no longer entitled to take the oral examination or that you are exmatriculated. After the oral examination, we will change the "EN".
- The Examinations Office will automatically submit an application for you and forward it to the Examination Board.
- The examination board will check whether you are entitled to a supplementary oral examination.
- If you are entitled, the lecturer will be informed and asked for an appointment.
- The examination board will inform you of the date by email.
- You can change your specialization once.

For the compulsory elective area in the main study program, for example, you need interdisciplinary studies or interdisciplinary qualifications. This includes all modules that have nothing to do with your degree program. They may not be subject-specific modules.
In the SuK Studium generale section (h-da.de) you will find a large selection of subjects that you can take.
You can also take subjects from other departments or degree programs. You can also take subjects that have 5 CP.
If you are unsure whether the subject you have chosen is an interdisciplinary subject, you can send the module descriptions to pruefungsausschuss.fbb@h-da.de and have them checked.
- SuK and languages.
- Modules from other degree programs and departments that have nothing to do with your own degree program.
- By filling out the performance overview for your degree program/specialization, you can get an overview.

- By e-mail (as PDF) on the day of submission. Mail to the examination board, lecturer and co-lecturer. The print version for archiving can then be submitted later. PLEASE ask the examiner whether a print version is required.
- In person at the examination office on the day of submission. Two copies and a data carrier with the paper in digital form.

- You still have to re-register, even if "only" the colloquium is still open.
- However, you can apply for a semester of leave , so that the semester does not count towards the total number of semesters. You can continue studying for a Master's degree despite the semester of leave if you have been admitted.
- Please write a SHORT e-mail with your name and matriculation number to the examination board.
- Your final documents will be signed by the Dean and the Chair of the Examination Board. Preparation, signing and forwarding can take 2-5 weeks.
- Once signed, all final documents are sent to the university's Examinations Office, which takes approx. 1-1.5 weeks to process. From there you will receive all documents.
