The focus of my research is on
- Issues from mechanized and conventional tunnel construction
- Analysis of the stress-deformation behavior of the rock mass in mechanized and conventional tunnelling using two- and three-dimensional numerical simulations
- Investigations into cases of damage in mechanized tunnelling
- Building Information Modeling (BIM) in geotechnics and tunnel construction
- Investigations into changes in the strength properties of rock as a result of microwave irradiation
Current research projects are
- LABROCKMICROWAVE Laboratory analyses of changes in the strength properties of rock as a result of microwave irradiation
